Default 2005 Jean Foillard Morgon Côte du Py, Beaujolais

Annoying wax capsule. Why would anybody bother with them in modern day and age is beyond me.

Other than that, dark red color, almost no see thru, plum pit on the finish, complex and a good candidate for long aging. Price tag under $20 makes it especially sweet.

    Henrik,

On this I don't agree with you. Morgon's are usually much more elegant than most Dolcetti.

When did Serge become a vegetarian? I am not going to serve smoked eggplant in place of smoked turkey in May.

But there is a no smoking rule in the rental house, so that's good...

I am not vegetarian. Experimenting with:
vegettables, raw food, sprouts, hydrophonic pot, and other "alternative lifestyles" doesn't turn one into vegetterian, pot head, vegan or gay.

Thomas, your turkey will be safe in my stomach

    Henrik,
I agree with Thomas re Morgon. Lots of red fruits, subdued I should say, but no Dolcetto.

Well, I can see that next time we all meet in Piemonte have to go through some Dolcetti. The varity in Dolcetti, in terms of taste and style, is huge.....
