Thumbs up Tastine Notes - New Zealand Savignion Blanc

yesterday MikeW brought a bottle of
House of Nobilo, Savignion Blanc, 2002
to be served with Smoked Mackerel and Smoked Trout.
Excelelnt tropical fruits nose, coco and green apples prevailing taste. I am not white wine lover, but it was very good with sea food.

I wish it had more acidity and alchohol, as it wasn't powerful enough to drink with olives spiked with hot red pepper oil,
    other than that,
it's a solid 88 points in my book.

Swanson 2001 Merlot, decanted for an hour, was very good with soft shell crabs. Who said one can't have red with sea food?

That was an excellent meal Serge, Susanne is such a great cook! I just wish I had planned to bring that wine ahead of time - I would have had it completely chilled ;-)))

    MikeW,
it wasn't first time, and wasn't the last time!

Next time we'll chill white more properly, finally I know what to do with ceramic wine chiller I brought from France
